Peak Nutrition is proud to have built a team of exceptional people with exceptional stories.
Welcome to another week into our “Peak Employee Spotlights,” where we feature an outstanding team member of the Peak Nutrition family who truly embodies our slogan: “Raise Your Standard.”
Everybody, meet Brenton!
Tell us about yourself! Name, store location/role in the company, and a small background of your personal story.
My name is Brenton Heward! I work as a Nutritionist at the Tempe store, soon to be at the Gilbert store!
I was raised familiar with health and fitness. My mom would give me supplements every day before school and I can honestly say there were a select few meals she made that I didn’t complain about.
But as time went on, I grew to love the human body and the idea of progressing physically. I liked the idea of being in control of my appetite and overcoming, supposed, physical boundaries.
Overcoming my own challenges has inspired me to work at Peak and help everyone I meet do the same.
How long have you been an employee at Peak Nutrition and what is your go-to supplement that you love the most?
I have been at Peak for almost 2 months. My go-to supplement has to be my sustained assimilation protein shakes. The reason being is that they have been the answer to me hitting my daily protein goals.
Without hitting my protein goal, I would not be building muscle like I am. Not to mention Cinnamon Cookie Batter tastes SO GOOD!
In what ways has the Peak Nutrition community positively impacted your life?
I have come to learn how important unity is.
In the Peak community, we raise our standard. We stand outside of the “norm.” And because we all have that same mentality, work no longer feels like work, feedback is embraced, and challenges are seen as stepping stones.
We are all on the same page day after day. I love the camaraderie between nutritionist and coach, customer and nutritionist, owner and employee, etc. Unity of purpose, unity of success.
What’s the biggest change you’ve seen within yourself since you’ve been a part of the Peak Nutrition community?
The biggest change I have seen in myself is my confidence. I am constantly in uncomfortable situations where I have to push myself to speak and make mistakes.
I am receiving feedback from my mentors frequently and being tried in discipline. There is no comfort in the growth zone and no growth in the comfort zone.
What keeps you motivated? What is your “WHY?”
My why? Simply put – progress. I believe that every human being that has and will ever exist wants to progress. It’s an innate desire within each of us.
I want to not only tap into that for myself, but help ignite the spark of progress in each person I interact with. We would not be human if we didn’t find something that we could progress in. That is the why.
If you could describe the Peak Nutrition community in 3 words, what would they be?
