I Did Andrew Huberman’s Morning Routine For 30 Days

Over the past month, I embarked on a personal experiment that reshaped my entire approach to starting the day. Through a carefully curated routine, I uncovered a series of practices that not only transformed my mornings but also enhanced my overall productivity and well-being. Here’s a breakdown of the regimen that revolutionized my daily routine:

Sunlight Exposure: I start my day with a 15 minute walk with my dog. Starting each morning with natural light exposure sets a refreshing tone for the day ahead. The simple act of basking in sunlight helped align my circadian rhythm and energized my mindset.

 

 

Hydration Ritual: Prioritizing hydration by drinking 20oz of water immediately upon waking up was a game-changer. This practice kick-started my metabolism and provided a refreshing boost to begin the day.

 

 

Sodium Incorporation: An unexpected addition, but integrating a pinch of pink Himalayan salt into my morning glass of water brought remarkable changes. This alteration significantly elevated my overall routine, enhancing its impact on my day-to-day activities.

 

 

Distraction-Free Focus: Engaging in work without any interruptions or external distractions right from the morning was a revelation. This focused approach allowed me to delve deeper into tasks with heightened concentration. How I do this: I put my headphones in to listen to the Lo-fi playlist and hammer out my morning checklist items. 

 

 

Cold Therapy: Next step, I head to Lifetime Fitness, jump in the cold plunge and that is my 5 minute meditation. Embracing the invigorating effects of an ice bath injected a burst of vitality into my mornings. The practice of cold therapy not only awakened my senses but also prepared me mentally for the day’s challenges.

 

 

Physical Exercise: Immediately after doing my cold therapy I hit my workout and finish with my post workout shake. Committing to a workout session in the morning invigorated my body and mind. This routine helped me set a positive tone for the day, boosting my energy levels and enhancing my overall mood.

Sauna Sessions: What works best for me is heading back to the gym later in the night and doing my sauna session. Incorporating post-workout sauna sessions provided a perfect balance to the physical exertion. The sauna’s calming effect acted as a rejuvenating conclusion to my morning routine, leaving me refreshed and prepared for the day ahead.

 

 

The introduction of sodium and Distraction- Free Focus into my daily ritual was a true catalyst, altering the dynamics of my routine in profound ways.

This 30-day experiment has not only reshaped my mornings but has also optimized my productivity, energy levels, and overall well-being. It’s a testament to the transformative power of a thoughtfully crafted routine, and I encourage everyone to explore and personalize their own routines for enhanced daily performance.
